Privacy Policy for PaintPencil
At PaintPencil (paintpencil.com), your privacy and the intellectual integrity of your artwork are our highest priorities. This Privacy Policy outlines what information is collected, how it is handled, and the rights you retain.
Your sketches, paintings, drawings, and imported reference images are never uploaded to or stored on remote servers. All canvas rendering and document state saving happen client-side in your own browser's local memory (LocalStorage / IndexedDB). You maintain 100% exclusive ownership of your creative work.

2. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Cookies
PaintPencil displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense to keep the drawing studio completely free for all artists. In compliance with Google publisher required content policies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites across the Internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to PaintPencil and other sites on the Internet.

To ensure a seamless creative workflow, PaintPencil utilizes standard browser storage technologies (HTML5 LocalStorage and Cache API) strictly to:
- Autosave your current drawing so your work is safe in case of accidental tab closure or browser restarts.
- Remember your favorite brush settings, selected colors, and palette docking positions.
- Manage welcome banner display preferences.
This information remains exclusively on your own computer or mobile device. You can clear this data at any time via your browser's history and cache settings.
4. Server Log Data
Standard web server logs may record anonymized network requests (such as truncated IP address, user agent, referring URL, and timestamp) strictly for technical health monitoring, security audits, and DDoS mitigation.
5. User Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and International Standards)
Because we do not require user accounts or store personal profiles on remote servers, we do not build tracking profiles on individual artists. If you communicate with us by email and request deletion of correspondence, contact [email protected] and we will fulfill your request promptly.
6. Policy Updates
We may update this policy periodically to reflect platform enhancements or legal requirements. Revisions will be published on this page with an updated timestamp.
